Africa

Under this heading I will be posting various writings from the past couple years relating to my travels to Africa. As I add new ones I will link them on this page and/or you can access them on a drop down menu when you hover over the “Africa” tab at the top of the home page.

Facts:

Almost 1 billion people in the world don’t have access to clean water and sanitation. Every year 3.5 million people die from water-borne illness. Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation cause 80% of diseases and kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Every day almost 4,000 children die due to unsafe drinking water. (Stats as of 2010)
